MTCWE (The MikroTik Certified Wireless Engineer)


Prerequisites:

·     MTCNA (MikroTik Certified Network Associate) certificate is required before taking the MTCWE course.


Course Description:

MTCWE provides in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in wireless installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and security on MikroTik RouterOS. It covers RouterBoard hardware, wireless standards like 802.11 a/b/g/n, wireless tools, and advanced features like WDS, Mesh, and MikroTik's proprietary protocols Nstreme and Nv2.


Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion, participants will be able to plan, implement, and manage wireless networks using MikroTik technologies. They will gain proficiency in configuring advanced wireless settings, enhancing wireless network performance, securing wireless networks, and troubleshooting common wireless connectivity issues.

The course covers a broad range of topics, including:

·     Wireless Installations: Overview of RouterBoard hardware, wireless cards, and antenna types.


·     Wireless Standard: Understanding of 802.11 a/b/g/n, bands, channel width, and frequencies.


·     Wireless Tools: Utilization of MikroTik wireless tools for network analysis and troubleshooting.


·     Wireless Troubleshooting: Techniques for diagnosing and resolving common wireless issues.


·     Wireless Advanced Settings: Configuration of advanced settings for optimal wireless performance.


·     802.11n: Deep dive into the 802.11n protocol and its features like channel bonding and frame aggregation.


·     Wireless Security: Implementation of security measures and encryption to protect wireless networks.


·     WDS and MESH: Configuration and management of WDS and Mesh networks for expanded coverage.


·     Wireless Bridging: Establishment of wireless bridges for network extension.


·     Nstreme and Nv2 Protocols: Advanced configurations using MikroTik's proprietary wireless protocols.
