Prerequisites:

Participants should have:

·     Intermediate knowledge of Cisco IOS or IOS XE,

·     Familiarity with Cisco IOS or IOS XE and Cisco IOS XR Software configuration,

·     Knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 TCP/IP networking,

·     Intermediate knowledge of IP routing protocols,

·     Understanding of MPLS technologies,

·     Familiarity with VPN technologies.

Recommended courses that could help meet these prerequisites include CCNA (Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions) and SPFNDU (Understanding Cisco Service Provider Network Foundations)

Course Description:

This course covers the essentials for service provider networks, including core architecture, services, networking, automation, quality of services, security, and network assurance. It's tailored to help professionals configure, verify, troubleshoot, and optimize next-generation networks.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion, you should be able to understand service provider network architectures, implement OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP routing, understand IPv6 transition mechanisms, and implement high-availability mechanisms in Cisco networks. The course also dives into traffic engineering, segment routing, VPN technologies, QoS, and security implementations for both control and data planes, among other topics.

Ideal For:

The course is suited for network administrators, engineers, managers, system engineers, project managers, and network designers who are involved in the planning, implementation, and optimization of service provider IP network infrastructures

Course Outline:

The course provides a comprehensive overview of service provider network architectures, Cisco IOS software architectures, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP implementation, route maps, RPL, IPv6 transitions, MPLS, traffic engineering, segment routing, VPN services, L2VPN, L3VPN services, multicast implementation, QoS architecture and implementation, security across control, management, and data planes, network programmability, automation, assurance, and an introduction to Cisco NSO and virtualization technologies in service provider environments
