MTCIPv6E

MTCIPv6E (MikroTik Certified IPv6 Engineer)

Prerequisites:

·     Participants are required to have an MTCNA certificate before enrolling in the MTCIPv6E course.

Course Description:

Over the span of 2 days, the MTCIPv6E course covers various aspects of IPv6, from basic introduction and subnetting to more advanced topics like security and transition mechanisms. It includes hands-on lab sessions to provide practical experience with IPv6 implementation.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, students will be familiar with the IPv6 protocol, including addressing, configuration, packet structure, security, and transition mechanisms. Participants will learn how to manage and implement IPv6 networks effectively.

Ideal For:

This course is tailored for network engineers and technicians involved in deploying and managing networks that require knowledge of IPv6.

Course Outline:

1.   Introduction to IPv6: Overview of IPv6 addresses, differences between IPv4 and IPv6, address types, and special addresses.

2.   IPv6 Protocol: Details on address configuration, auto-configuration, stateless and stateful DHCPv6, neighbor discovery protocol, and IPv6 routing basics.

3.   IPv6 Packet: Understanding the IPv6 header, next header concept, and path MTU discovery.

4.   IPv6 Security: Topics include ICMPv6, neighbor discovery protocol, MLD, temporary addresses, firewall, and IPsec considerations.

5.   Transition Mechanisms: Exploring dual-stack, 6to4, 6RD, Teredo, DS-lite, and their applications.

6.   Interoperability: Focus on IPv6 pool, DHCP, IPv6 tunnels like IPIPv6 and GRE6, and RouterOS features related to IPv6.
